Documentary producer Alex Gibney, known for his 2008 Oscar winning films "Taxi to the Dark Side," "Enron: The Smartest Guy in the Room," and at least a dozen other films, turned his attention to the 1994 Loughinisland Massacre, which remains an unresolved wound in the Irish peace process. Gibson exposed a network of secrets, lies, and corruption, which often leads to when powerful individuals insist that their actions are for greater benefit.
